Some of you already know me, I’m Mateus
They found me on the road in terrible condition. I was thin, hairless, my body was covered in lesions, anaemic and full of other ailments. One of these diseases is leishmaniasis. I was treated and recovered. Now I only take a few tablets a month and I can live to the end of my life like this.
Rumour has it that nobody wants to adopt a leishmaniasis-positive dog and that I’ll stay here in the Association’s shelter. I really hope for something else. That someone will look me in the eye and say: come here, my little sweetie ❤️

Mateus was found on the side of the road, near Sesimbra with his little body in this state… Super sad and with his head down, a being in suffering. When he arrived at the shelter and we showed him our love, he became a happy being. Whoever saw it won’t forget He tested positive for leishmaniasis. He has already started treatment but needs help. The value is close to €500, including the analyses. Please help to support Mateus.
