My story is very sad… If you’re a sensitive person, brace yourself. I’m only 1 year old, and even though I’m a big dog, the suffering I’ve already endured is even greater. I was the victim of abuse (literally) that no animal should ever have to experience. I went through moments of sheer terror and was deeply traumatized. But you know what? Despite everything, I haven’t given up on people. Here at the shelter, they’ve treated me with care, respect, and love. Little by little, I’ve come to realize that not all hands hurt. I still need some time to trust, but all it takes is for me to feel safe to show who I really am. And who am I? An incredibly gentle, sweet dog, full of love to give. Sometimes I look around and think that maybe no one wants a dog with such a heavy past… but I just wish someone would look at my future, not at what was done to me. Don’t let one person’s cruelty define my whole life. I don’t want to believe that I was born to face this fate. Give me a chance. I promise that when I give you my heart, it will be forever.
