Bianca Charity was founded on July 17th of 2002, but only in 2006 the shelter was built with capacity for 50 animals.
Throughout the years, the shelter had several improvements and, nowadays, we have 400 dogs and 100 cats, permanently.
Our mission is to save abandoned animals, at risk in Sesimbra’s Council, as many as possible.
Promoting their recovering and send them to adoption.
All animals, no matter the age, condition, has a second change in our shelter.
Bianca Charity also make public awareness about the huge problem of overpopulation of animals and the importance of sterilization and environmental protection.
Bianca Charity was recognized, on the 21st of June 2010 by Publication nº 10298/2010 in ‘Portuguese Official Diary’ II, nº 118 of June 21th of 2010, as Private Institution of Public Utility, thanks to our effort, work, commitment and dedication to animal cause in the municipality of Sesimbra.
Therefore, all the donations made to Bianca are tax deductible in IRS/IVA (personal and business income).

On May 4th of 2019, Bianca Charity decorated with the Municipal Medal of Merit, a recognition by the municipality, for the service provided in the municipality of Sesimbra, in the area of animal welfare.
