My life and that of Scar, my canine companion, was very difficult at first. We were both locked up on a balcony, surrounded by trash and baking in the sun all day long, and Scar suffered from ear infections. Fortunately, someone filed a complaint against our former “guardian”—who was anything but a guardian—and we were rescued. I would love to have the family I never had: loving, caring, and loyal 😉 Can I still hold onto that hope?
