To adopt an animal means to save a life. But think seriously if you can do it. The animal can live up to 20 years and this means that adopting it is a long term committment. Having said that, an animal only brings benefits - it will be your best friend in joy and sadness and it only requires very little. Nevertheless, it will require certain expenses that you have to take into account like health, food and hygiene expenses.
Don't adopt an animal to give it to a child, an animal is not a toy. Toys can be bought in toy shops. Adopt an animal to have a friend for a whole family.
